Biography

Tim is an Education Associate for Nanoscale Science and Engineering at the Museum of Science, Boston, and serves as public engagement coordinator for the Science of Nanoscale Systems and their Device Applications Nanoscale Science and Engineering Center headquartered at Harvard University. Tim delivers live presentations on nanotechnology to museum audiences and at public forums. He also delivers New England Cable News broadcasts on topics in nanotech research, and works with early career researchers on developing their science communication skills. Tim is active in the Nanoscale Informal Science Education Network, a nationwide effort to increase public awareness of emerging nanoscience and technology, funded by the National Science Foundation.

Tim holds both a Bachelor’s degree in physics and a Master of Science degree in engineering sciences from Dartmouth College. He has been at the museum since 2006.
